Conference REGNO 2006 during 7-9 June 2006 in Vilnius, Lithuania

Background

Previous Regno Conferences have been very successful and generated many interesting and useful discussions. All together there has been more than 500 participants from 15 different countries.

The Conferences have focused on the issues related to the development of land registration, population registration, registration of legal entities and businesses, address registers, as well as the development of new technologies for data dissemination, efficient customer service, data protection and system security, and the impact of information technologies on society. 

The purpose of Regno Conferences is to provide the participants an opportunity to exchange information about the situation of base registers development in different countries and to discuss about future strategies in that area as a part of e-Government.

Date and Venue

The fifth Regno Conference will be arranged in the Reval Hotel Lietuva, Vilnius, Lithuania on the 7th–9th of June 2006. The Conference is organised by the State Enterprise Centre of Registers from Lithuania and Population Register Centre from Finland.

Topics

The Conference will discuss the developments in the registration of land, population, legal entities and addresses. It will focus on the implementation of EU directives, the legal and technological aspects related to the base registers, their integration and interaction and data use. The Conference REGNO 2006 will provide the participants with an opportunity to share their experience and views, to discuss future trends and vision about the development of base registers in different countries and to talk about future strategies in that area as a part of e-Government.

The Conference REGNO 2006 will be split into two sessions:
Session I – Impact of EU Directives on State Registers
Session II – Integration of State Registers
